Performance
According to Sunni
Muslims Sunni Muslims do the following: Begin by doing niyyah (intention) to
perform the wudu and cleanse the car of impurities. Say Bismillah. Wash the
right hand above the wrist (and between the fingers) three times, then the same
for the left hand. Rinse the mouth and spit the water three times and rub the
teeth with a miswak. If a miswak is not available, the finger should be used.
Gently put the water in the nostrils with the right hand, squeeze the top of
the nose with the left hand to exhale the water. This is done three times.
Wash the face (from the hairline on the forehead to the
place where the facial hair begins and the ear to the ear). This will be done
three times.
Wash the right arm, including the hand, up to and including
the elbow three times, then the left arm three times. Run the fingers of one
hand between the fingers of the other hand. If you wear a ring that must move
freely to allow water to pass underneath.
Next, perform Masah. Wet hands should be passed all over the
head, then the first finger of the right hand and the left should move in the
right and left ear, respectively, and in the thumbs same operation
should be passed around the ears, and then pass the back of
the hands over the back of the neck only. The hands should not be passed to the
front of the neck, as it is forbidden. This is done only once. One can not make
more than one Muslim head Masah. Fresh water is not necessary to take to carry
out the Masah of the ears.
Starting with the right foot, wash the feet of the toes up
to and including the ankles three times. The little finger of the left hand
should be passed between the toes of both feet starting from the little toe of
the right foot and ending with the little toe of the left foot.
