Sunnah
Sunnah (optional - practiced by Muhammad and according to
Sunni Hadiths) acts.
Recite Bismillah.
Intention to perform wudu.
Wash both hands to the wrists.
Rinse the inside of the mouth.
Smell the water and blowing.
Wet fingers pass between the fingers of the hand and the
feet.

Brush your teeth, preferably with miswak.
Wudu is done systematically.

Mustahabbāt
(recommended acts)
A handful of mustahab (recommended) acts that are considered
to make the wudu better. If one of these acts is omitted, the wudu is still
considered valid.
Recite the shahada after ablution.
During wudu one should not participate in worldly
conversation.
The choice of a clean place for ablution.
Do not waste water in ablutions.
Starting on the right side and then the left.
Recite the shahada.
Without taking more water, clean the top of your right foot
with your right hand. Only clean at once with a sliding movement. It is not
allowed to clean shoes, socks, etc. You should always clean the skin of your
feet unless there is an extreme reason.
Do the same, except with your left hand and clean your left
foot. Imam Ali and the other Imams have said that there are mustahab actions,
or recommends wudu along with the aforementioned method. These acts are
recommended .:
Wash your hands twice.
Gargle your mouth three times.
Rinse the nose three times.
Wash your face twice and twice your arms. It is not allowed
to wash the head and feet twice (if not because one missed a point) and that it
is not allowed to wash your face and arms three times.
